FAQs

Answers to the questions most people ask first

If you are new to training, coming back after time away, or just want to know what to expect, these are the basics. If you still want a hand, just get in touch and we will help.

Do I need any experience before I come?

No. Beginners are very welcome. Sessions are being built with a strong beginner pathway, so you do not need any background in BJJ, judo, or martial arts to get started.

What should I wear to my first session?

Comfortable training clothes are fine for your first visit. If a gi is needed for a session later on, we will make that clear before you need to buy anything.

Are there classes for both adults and juniors?

Yes. The timetable includes adult and junior options, alongside women’s sessions, over 40s training, judo, gi, and no-gi classes.

How do memberships and pricing work?

There are flexible membership options and class bundles, so you can choose something that fits how often you want to train. The memberships section above shows the current live options.

Is parking available nearby?

Yes. Parking permits will be available for St Edmund’s Church opposite the academy, so getting to class should feel straightforward from day one.

Can I contact you before booking or turning up?

Absolutely. If you want help choosing the right class, membership, or first step, send a message and we will point you in the right direction.
